A glimpse inside my beauty cabinet…

**insert picture here**

Super smile whiting toothpaste $12.79 & toothbrush $9 – I swear by these dental products, they’re the best for whitening your teeth and freshening your breath day and night. For me, everything else pales in comparison.

Braun Silk – Epil Xpressive Easy Start Rechargeable Epilator $121.49 – The fastest and easiest way to get rid of hair on your legs and underarms, leaving your skin flawlessly smooth and silky for weeks

Egyptian magic cream
$36 – This cream truly is magic! Made from all natural ingredients, it is an incredible moisturizer and heals and nourishes the skin. I put it on my hair, my face, my body… I can’t live without it.

Sonya Dakar Buriti Purifying Face Cleanser $59 – My skin is very sensitive which is why I always use this cleanser. This product is gentle enough not to strip or damage skin (it actually moisturizes you skin while it cleanses) yet strong yet strong enough to remove impurities and makeup.

Viviscal

Shiela Stotts Removal Brush $28 – I have found this to be the best hairbrush for hair with or without extensions (though admittedly I do have extensions!). It removes knots on dry or wet hair in mere minutes and the metal “teeth” gently massage the scalp while working through your hair.

Sara Happ Lip Scrub $24– I love this product! It works in seconds to remove any and all dead skin thus leaving your lips softer, smoother and even a bit plumper

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Lite Conditioner $17.96 – Smells great and detangles hair easily leaving it shiny and soft

David Kirsch Ageless Defense $69.99 – Re-energizes cells and helps reverse the effects of aging

Tweezerman Luxe Edition Crystal Slant $200 – Classic tweezers with a more glamorous touch

A New Year, A New Perspective

Friday, January 1, 2016

Gossip is idle talk or rumor, especially about the personal or private affairs of others. As far as I’m concerned, it is a cheap way for you to feel self-important. It is a complete and utter waste of your energy and time.

People don’t realize how powerful words are, they are energy and a reflection of YOU not who you are speaking of. It is very “easy” to gossip about those that are successful and going for their dreams. But, I hope you realize and can recognize that it takes humility to allow yourself be inspired by their success and use it as inspiration to live your highest. Everything you put out into the universe will come back to you, it is the karmic law. Words of advice: When communicating about others speak only love — Or do not speak at all.

How about this year, for a resolution, we as people try harder to know, embrace, and accept ourselves and others, accepting all faults and imperfections. Be mindful of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Know your vulnerabilities as well as your strengths and achievements, and learn to love yourself and all people for these qualities.

From the article: “I don’t understand Instagram models, still trying to understand what that concept is and what that means. I think it’s much more important for people to focus on their craft as opposed to counting ‘likes’ and ‘follows. It’s not that I don’t like social media, I just don’t entirely get that whole movement. However, it is very refreshing to see more diversity in the entertainment and fashion industry. That is extremely important…” MORE AT www.line-mag.com

Creating the perfecting pout is all about subtlety and creating an slight optical illusion. For starters, I suggest you apply a small amount of balm then matte your lips with a powder foundation.

Then, using light feathery strokes in an upward motion to peak and bridge the Cupid’s bow , draw a line just outside your natural lip line
– just DO NOT go into the corners; one wants emphasize luscious lips not create a trout pout. Read More >

Every day life is made up of a million little situations and things.  Life, it’s short, but it’s the longest thing we have. Even at its most beautiful can be brutally ugly. We will all die, the Stars will fade and everything known will cease to exist, that is certain. It is living that is beautiful. And as human beings, we are able, to the best of our abilities, to live life to the fullest.

One of the biggest struggles in life is the struggle to know, embrace, and accept ourselves, with all of our faults and imperfections. Be mindful of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Know your vulnerabilities as well as your strengths and achievements, and learn to love yourself for both.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always trying to live life the best that I can. To be alive is to have experiences – as hard as I try not to, I’m constantly making mistakes (I’m only human), I falter, change my path and direction I life, I judge myself and every move of decision I make while fighting the urge to place that judgment on others.

We all make mistakes which enables us to learn and appreciate our lives – which can often times be difficult, because to be honest, a lot of people do lead difficult lives. People fail all the time, I fail, it just happens, but from hose failures we all learn the greatest lessons for the only true failure is to have never tried.

By taking people and things for granted you can wind up with nothing. And, it’s when you have nothing that you appreciate everything.

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.

Protect The Skin You’re In

Thursday, July 2, 2015

It is officially summer! It is my favorite time to be outdoors hiking and enjoying the colorful flowers in full bloom. I love being able to step outside and just breathe the fresh air. Summer is also bikini season, a good time to hit the beaches and get tanned. I wanted to remind everyone that as beautiful as the days are, it is important to protect the skin you’re in.

Life’s Limitless Possibilities…

Wednesday, July 1, 2015

Every moment happening now makes up the present – right here and right now in your life doesn’t have to be enmeshed with your past. It’s entirely possible to start anew! Who hasn’t been hesitant at one time or another to “start over” and begin again with a new project, goal or relationship due to whatever occurred in the past? I know I have been before. The past is the past… That’s where it should stay. This moment here and now is entirely different and new, which gives you the choice to go in any direction you want.

It’s unfortunate that for so many life and love can be dictated by fear. No one might ever fully understand what it truly is that makes you, you… But the way I see it, is that even if I end up crying I can’t help but remain hopeful and open myself up to the possibilities. Experiences and relationships are paramount – My relationships with people are what motivate and inspire me in my life. There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living. Why not embrace each moment?! Life isn’t meant to be lived in comfort-zones… Take chances and don’t be afraid of the results – If you don’t challenge yourself you may never truly know yourself or grow. “Playing it safe” really just means that you’re going to miss out on a lot.

A way to bridge a relationship with friends, family and those you love (including yourself!!) is to be honest with the heart and not just face literal truths. In life, there will always be risks that cause vulnerability and can sometimes lead to pain… BUT, sometimes the most cataclysmic changes in life come from pain. It’s important to remember that life is composed of moments – You have to take those moments as they come… Impulsively.

Flip-Flops

Lydia Hearst

We’ve all worn them at one time or another, some of you may still be wearing them today – It’s time to STOP. Not only are these pseudo-shoes unattractive by any standards and cause hammertoe. Still thinking about wearing flip flops? Here’s a list:

Clumsy – Wearing these shoes forces you to take smaller steps. This puts you more at risk to fumble and fall.

Blisters – Caused by excessive rubbing of the rubber/latex strap between your toes and across your foot. And when those blisters inevitably pop, you’re left with an open wound that makes you vulnerable to the pathogens you pick up every time you leave your foot exposed.

Hammertoe – I already mentioned this to you. Hammertoe is a type of damage that occurs when your toes are forced to grip extra hard (like while wearing and walking in flip-flops) to keep the shoes on you feet. This extensive and repeated gripping can cause stiffness, pain and you might wind up needing surgery.
